Meal Plan Options

Prices for the 2024–25 academic year

This meal plan is required for first- and second-year students, as well as all students living in traditional residence halls, and is also available to juniors and seniors not living in traditional residence halls. This meal plan permits students to eat at multiple venues during the same meal period.

  • Unlimited dining access seven days per week at Frank Dining Hall during hours of service
  • Unlimited access at the Coop during hours of service
  • Unlimited smoothies in the smoothie station at the Coop during hours of service
  • Unlimited coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, plus one swipe per meal period at Chobani at the Hieber Café during hours of service
  • One swipe per meal period at Donovan's Pub during hours of service
  • One swipe per meal period at the & a Pickle deli
  • Five guest passes per semester
  • Parents and guardians eat for free while visiting campus
  • Complimentary reusable green clamshell container for take-out from the servery
  • $75 bonus dollars per semester

This meal plan is available to juniors and seniors not living in traditional residence halls. Flex dollars will rollover from fall to spring semester. At the end of the spring semester, all flex dollars will be forfeited.

  • Dining access seven days per week for up to 10 meals at Frank Dining Hall, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Café, Donovan's Pub, and the & a Pickle deli and smoothie station
  • Three guest passes per semester
  • $100 flex dollars per semester

This meal plan is available to juniors and seniors not living in traditional residence halls. Flex dollars will rollover from fall to spring semester. At the end of the spring semester, all flex dollars will be forfeited.

  • Dining access seven days per week for up to eight meals at Frank Dining Hall, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Café, Donovan's Pub, and the & a Pickle deli and smoothie station
  • Three guest passes per semester
  • $75 flex dollars per semester

This meal plan is available to juniors and seniors not living in traditional residence halls. Unused meals and flex dollars will rollover from fall to spring semester. At the end of the spring semester, all unused meals and flex dollars will be forfeited.

  • 70 meal swipes per plan
  • Dining Access seven days per week at Frank Dining Hall, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Café, Donovan's Pub, and the & a Pickle deli and smoothie station
  • $150 flex dollars per plan

This reload will be available after the spring semester mid-term recess to students with Raider Memberships (Block Plans) who are running low on meals. At the end of the spring semester, all unused meals will be forfeited.

  • 25 meal swipes per plan
  • Dining Access seven days per week at Frank Dining Hall, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Café, Donovan's Pub, and the & a Pickle deli and smoothie station

Meal plans chosen through this site will be billed on your °Ä²Ê¿ª½± tuition account with the rest of your semester fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Flex Dollars

These add flexibility to your dining options and may be spent like cash at Frank, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Café, Donovan's Pub, and the deli and smoothie station at the Coop. As an additional value, flex dollars are tax exempt. Unused dollars may carry over from fall to spring semesters. However, unused flex dollars expire on the last day of the academic calendar year and do not roll over to the following academic year.

Bonus Dollars

Bonus dollars work like flex dollars but can be spent at retail locations on and off campus, operated by a variety of restaurants from the Hamilton community, in addition to Frank, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Cafe, Donovan's Pub, and the deli and smoothie station at the Coop. Unused bonus dollars expire on the last day of the academic calendar year and do not roll over to the following academic year. List of businesses that accept bonus dollars.

’Gate Cash

This is a convenient way to purchase meals at any campus dining location, and even many locations in the local community. Food can be purchased a la carte with your ‘Gate Card at Chobani at the Hieber Café, the Coop, Donovan's Pub, and the deli and smoothie station at the Coop, and full meals can be purchased at Frank Dining Hall. 'Gate cash may also be used for purchases at the Bookstore and mailroom as well as to operate laundry machines and library copiers. Requesting special consideration for dietary needs for some students with serious health conditions, following certain diets, or refraining from eating certain foods is a medical necessity rather than a personal choice.

Please contact °Ä²Ê¿ª½± Dining Services at 315-228-7670 to add or change a meal plan. You may come to the Frank Dining Hall office, Monday–Friday between 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., to complete a Change Meal Plan Form. Fall semester meal plans will automatically carry over into the spring semester unless changes are submitted before the deadline.

Any changes in meal plans during the summer can be made by contacting Student Accounts at 315-228-7812.

Students living in traditional on-campus residences are required to have a meal plan. On-campus apartment and townhouse residents and off-campus residents may sign up for a voluntary meal plan. If you have any questions, please email us a diningservices@colgate.edu.
