Sara Rose Dougherty began working as °Ä²Ê¿ª½±'s Greenhouse Superintendent on May 31, 2022. Sara was previously employed as a teaching teamster, draft horse program director, farmer and sustainable agriculture professor. She's worked at several NYS colleges and universities in a variety of faculty, staff, and support positions. She received her bachelor's degree in working landscapes, sustainable communities, and environmental science. She recently completed her master’s of science degree in natural resource conservation and management, with a concentration in sustainable communities. She sits as an elected director of an educational not-for-profit that focuses on global use of draft animal power, regenerative agricultural and forestry practices.
