Linguistics Program

Study language, the foundation of the human experience, to develop an in-depth understanding of societies and individuals.

Where did language come from? How does it develop? How will it continue to evolve? The °Ä²Ê¿ª½± Linguistics Program explores answers to these questions through study in a broad array of academic disciplines.

Students draw on varied methods to develop skills in language acquisition and analysis, classical philology, philosophy, psychology and neuroscience, acoustics, and computer science.

The program offers a minor in linguistics.
