Last winter, Kara Vadman ’14 and Mikhaila Redovian ’15 joined geology professor Amy Leventer aboard the research vessel Palmer for a trip into the Totten Glacier region of Antarctica. There, they worked with other scholars to take core samples and analyze sediments that could provide snapshots of the glacier’s recent and long-term behavior.
