This summer, Jack Breitowich ’23 interned with Utilis Corp. The company is the world leader in satellite-based water leak detection and uses technology in space to support resilience of natural resources on earth. Jack took up residence in both Israel and the United States for portions of his internship and conducted research for the American companies that use the Utilis service.
He worked with GIS engineers in the office to develop clear maps for the firm’s satellite-based infrastructure intelligence software. This experience provided Jack with the opportunity to learn how to use GIS software to provide data-driven solutions for utilities, engineers, and municipalities. In the future, Jack hopes to pursue a career in GIS and urban development.
