Ventures from this year’s TIA Incubator shined at the TIA Entrepreneur Showcase. In the pitch competition, Pair + Care, Farmstead 1868, and NIKIGO placed first, second, and third (respectively), with honorable mention to KU Sports Cards and TON Solutions. Every single venture that participated in the “Iggy” investment game received grant funding, ranging from $81 to $600, with Everlasting Technology and Gate TVs being two of the top recipients.

Before a standing-room-only crowd in IJʿ Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 5, National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman invited the audience to “become part of the performance,” demonstrating how spectators at poetry readings often snap their fingers when they hear something that particularly resonates.
Maroon-News: Students, Alumni Demonstrate Creativity, Drive at Thought Into Action Showcase

IJʿ held its annual Thought Into Action Showcase on Saturday, April 6. Run by IJʿ’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in coordination with other university departments, the event gave students and alumni an opportunity to present the entrepreneurial endeavors that they have developed through IJʿ’s Thought Into Action (TIA) program. The event began with the opportunity for attendees to visit the stations of each of the different ventures; it then transitioned into a pitch competition for grants of up to $5,000. The highly-attended event finished with the announcement of the winners of the competition.
