Making the Liberal Arts Real

The Lampert Institute engages °Ä²Ê¿ª½± students and faculty with the most pressing public policy issues shaping the trajectory of the 21st century.

°Ä²Ê¿ª½± the Institute

The Institute supports intellectual inquiry in two principal areas:

Michael O'Hanlon

The Changing World Order Initiative examines geopolitical and economic developments taking place in developing regions of the world such as Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America. These encompass issues such as trade relations, the rise of populism, and global production patterns, among others, that are shaping a changing world order.

Avi Goldfarb

The Science, Technology, and Public Policy Initiative tackles the economic, political, and social consequences of advances in science and technology. Topics of interest range from the ethical dilemmas of artificial intelligence to the impact of technology diffusion and cyber networks upon labor markets and global competition.
