This year’s MLK celebration included seven days of extensive programming, Jan. 23–29, centering on the theme “Stronger Together.”

Second-year students seeking professional guidance from industry leaders gathered for �IJʿ��� Career Services’ annual SophoMORE Connections program, from Jan. 20 to 21.

During winter break, SRS students visited landmark southern cities to form deeper connections with course content and their peers.

This year, �IJʿ���’s annual MLK Celebration will run from Jan. 23 through Jan. 29, 2023. The opening ceremony, featuring student speaker Kwabena Owusu Ansah ’24 and performances by the �IJʿ��� Resolutions and Safety Forth, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 23, in Memorial Chapel and will stream live.

From the �IJʿ��� Magazine Archives, Fr. Tom Powell, �IJʿ���’s Catholic chaplain and leader of the Newman Com­munity, writes of a sentimental journey he shared with five students — Peter Luglio, Peter Derrenbacker, Jeff Craig, and Dean Gregory, all ’89, and Rob Curran ’91 — in June 1989.

�IJʿ��� faculty members representing languages, philosophy, computer science, and biology gathered in the Hall of Presidents on Nov. 17 to discuss ideas for collaboration through the Robert H.N. Ho Mind, Brain, and Behavior Initiative (MBBI).
